District seeks feedback on Standards Based & Standards Referenced Grading

posted Feb 3, 2017, 7:45 AM by Nadine Cordova - NGM Faculty

The Adams 12 Five Star Schools Learning Services team is collecting feedback regarding the implementation and practice of Standards Based and Standards Referenced Grading.

In the fall of 2016, the Learning Services team scheduled over 20 voluntary staff engagement sessions. Teachers, principals, counselors and numerous school support staff shared their feedback regarding the grading practices at their respective schools. In addition to school staff, administrative employees serving special populations including English Language Learners, Gifted and Talented and Special Education Needs, also shared feedback. To ensure parents and students have an opportunity to provide input, multiple community engagement sessions are scheduled for the 2017 spring semester.
