Principal's Letter

NGMS Knight

Dear Northglenn Middle School Community,

As the school year draws to a close, the administration and staff at Northglenn wanted to say thank you for sharing your children with us this year.  We had a successful year and we hope everybody enjoys a well-deserved summer break with friends and family.  Academically, we have begun to receive some assessment results that indicate high levels of student growth in reading, math, and language usage.  I fully anticipate continued returns that show great student performance in all assessed areas.

On a staff note, my three years as Principal at Northglenn Middle School have been among the best and most enjoyable in my career.  I will not be returning, however, as I will be serving as the Principal at Century Middle School next year.  I leave staff, students, and the community in good hands, though, as Grant Underwood will become Northglenn Middle’s Principal next year.  He has served as the Assistant Principal here at the school for the past three years and has been instrumental in the school’s academic gains that resulted in our school receiving the highest performance rating issued by the state of Colorado last year.

I personally thank you all for your hard work and dedication in supporting your children at home.  Being the parent of three children of my own, I understand the lifelong commitment we make to our children and the endless hours we dedicate to ensure that the next generation achieves more than we did.  I would say good luck, but judging by the work ethic of the Northglenn Community and our students, you won’t need it.  You all will achieve great things.

Sincerely,

Jami Miller

Principal
