The 2019-2020 school year will be my fourth year teaching 7th grade ELA and ELD at NGMS, and my fourth year living in Colorado.
My interest in language and literature began at a young age and took shape following high school, as a student and English tutor in Croatia. While learning, teaching, traveling, and reading, I found a passion for education and empowering others through language and learning. Before moving to Colorado, I attended Loyola University in Chicago and grew into many communities in the city. At school, I studied English Language and Literature, Education, English Language Development, and Special Education. Currently, I am currently taking classes at CU Boulder towards a Masters degree in Education, Equity and Cultural Diversity.
My partner happens to be my favorite person in the world and we have been enjoying life in Colorado together. My other loves include our cat and dog, travel, books, coffee, the natural world, and helping those around me.
