Hello students and families. We all know this is an uncertain and ever-changing time. Please know that I will do my best to help in any way I can as we navigate how our lives are impacted by COVID-19 and online teaching and learning together. Below you will find some information to help you understand my plan for the coming weeks. I have spoken to a few of you over the past couple of weeks and have really enjoyed hearing about your days. I am excited to write, talk, and see you all starting next week! Please reach out any time with questions, concerns, or just to say hello!
During online learning, each Monday you will find a lesson for you in Google Classroom. The lesson that will help you understand the content we are covering, making sure that I have videos and examples for you to learn.
I plan to have online video chat hours from 10 am-12 pm on Tuesday and Thursday. These video sessions may occur more often and are also available upon request during normal school hours. Of course, you can access me via e-mail any time of the day or night and I will get back to you between 8 am-4 pm, Monday through Friday.
While attendance is not taken daily and hourly, attendance will be taken by 4 pm on the Friday of each week beginning April 3rd in Infinite Campus. Students that actively participate throughout the week as directed by the classroom teacher will be recorded as attending. If a student does not participate in google classroom activity or on a zoom meeting throughout the week, the student will be recorded as absent.
During the week I will check your work and provide feedback as needed, so PLEASE READ YOU EMAIL AT LEAST ONCE PER DAY. I plan to send you messages to your email with this feedback. Assessments will be done through Edpuzzle, Quizlet, and other online web pages. Also, make sure if I post a lesson on Google Classroom and you complete the lesson you mark that as turned in, this will show me who is working on the assignments and who is not.
