It's online learning time! This is all new to everyone, so don't feel worried or stressed at all, we are in this together. All of our work and learning will be done on Google Classroom for both language arts and social studies (click on the names for links). From Google Classroom there may be links to outside sites such as Edpuzzle or Discovery Techbook. All of these are resources that we have used before during the year so students should know how to access them. Just in case we forget, I will post reminders on how to log onto those sites. It is important that students are always logged in using their school Gmail account, not their personal account. If not, links and Google Classroom won't work properly.
I will be posting all of the work for the week on Mondays and everything needs to be done by Friday at 3pm. Students may complete their work whenever it best fits your family's schedule. If a student needs specific help, I will be available daily from 10am - 12pm. However, students can, of course, email me anytime with any questions or concerns and I will respond as quickly as possible.
On-line attendance and participation is required throughout our distance learning time. While not taken daily and hourly, attendance will be taken by 4 pm on the Friday of each week beginning April 3rd in Infinite Campus. Students that actively participate throughout the week as directed by the teacher will be recorded as attending. If a student does not participate throughout the week, the student will be recorded as absent.
Please feel free to email me if there are any questions or concerns.
This is my fourth year teaching and at Northglenn Middle School. I grew up in a small town on the western slope and went to college at Fort Lewis College. I’ve lived in Colorado my whole life and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else! I’m new to the Denver area and love exploring all this city has to offer. When I’m not teaching, I love to be spending time with friends or playing with my new kitten.
