The 2020-2021 school year will be my fifth year teaching 7th grade ELA and ELD at NGMS, and my fifth year living in Colorado.
My interest in language and literature began at a young age and took shape following high school, as a student and English tutor in Croatia. While learning, teaching, traveling, and reading, I found a passion for education and empowering others through language and learning. Before moving to Colorado, I attended Loyola University in Chicago and grew into many communities in the city. There, I studied English Language and Literature, Education, English Language Development, and Special Education. Most recently, I earned a Masters degree in Education, Equity, and Cultural Diversity from CU Boulder.
My partner is my favorite person in the world and we enjoy life in Colorado together with our cat and dog. My other loves include reading, coffee, experiencing the natural world, any kind of traveling, and helping those around me when I can.
